I think it is unfortunate that many people, specifically Black folk from whatever part of the diaspora do not know about Marcus Garvey. I, for one, did not learn about him or his philosophy in school. It was not until college that I began to learn more about him. I am interested in learning more about him, and I pleasantly surprised at what the Institute is doing in their community. We need more of those types of centers in our respective schools.

Happy New Year! <3
I may be some days late with this message, but it’s never too late to wish well wishes. In case you are keeping resolutions, I pray that you will be able to continue them all throughout the year.
I have not had time to reflect on my year or plan for this year. Days have blended into weeks and months have passed with an instant. My thought is to not have such high expectations in the form of resolutions, but to do what I can to be a better me in my relationships (both inside and out).
